JACKSON COUNTY–Two teens died in a single-vehicle crash along Alabama 40 Sunday afternoon, according to ALEA Senior Trooper Cody Farrar.
At around 12:20 p.m. yesterday, a 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88 driven by an unidentified 17-year-old from Dutton left the roadway and struck a tree approximately one mile south of Scottsboro.
Both the driver and passenger, Andrew S. Turner, 19, of Dutton, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither were reportedly using a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate.
