LAWRENCE COUNTY–A Blountsville man died last Saturday after the motorcycle he was on was struck by an ambulance on Alabama 157 just north of Moulton, according to ALEA Senior Trooper Cody Farrar.
At around 9:25 p.m., 33-year-old Sidney L. Canada II’s disabled 2003 Honda VT600 motorcycle that he was on was struck by a 2017 Ford T250 Ambulance driven by Hunter A. Harrell, 21, of Russellville.
Canada was pronounced dead at the scene while Harrell and the patient on board, Rochelle M. Ducharme, 35, of Sheffield, were transported to Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield for their injuries.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate.
