JACKSON COUNTY–A Tennessee man was killed on Sunday after the airboat he was bow fishing on collided with a tree limb in Lake Guntersville, according to ALEA Sergeant Jeremy Burkett.
At approximately 10:20 p.m., the airboat that Christopher Gray of Dellrose, Tenn. was a passenger on struck a tree limb along Mud Creek.
Gray, 43, was thrown into the rear of the boat and against the cage surrounding the propeller.
He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The operator of the airboat, Ty W. Whisenant, 43, of Union Grove was uninjured during the collision.
Troopers with ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division will continue to investigate.
