BIRMINGHAM — Police said as many as 10 shots were fired, killing a man on Monday night in Birmingham. It marks the fourth homicide investigation since Friday.
Officers arrived and found an adult male on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene and pronounced the man dead.
“At approximately 10:10 p.m., north precinct officers were responding to a shots fired activation of approximately 10 gun shots fired,” Wade said.
Wade said the investigation indicated that the shooting began at Graymont Avenue and Center Street and the victim ran a block to 6th Avenue West and Center Street where he collapsed.
No suspects are in custody at the time.
