TRUSSVILLE – Trussville City Schools has canceled the upcoming Kick-Off Caravan scheduled for Monday, April 6, 2020, at 8:30 a.m.
Superintendent Dr. Pattie Neill announced the decision on Saturday afternoon following the the statewide stay-at-home order enacted by Gov. Kay Ivey on Friday.
“Everyone at TCS looked forward to the Kick-Off Caravan,” Neill wrote in a release. “As excited as we were to see our students again, we urge everyone to take the Stay at Home Order seriously, stay at home and away from crowds. Together, we can flatten the curve and hopefully our normal way of life will return this summer.”
Neill added that the school system will introduce the Classroom to Cloud learning platform on Monday at 9:30 a.m. to provide students with online lessons throughout the final few weeks of the academic year.
“Stay safe, well and at home,” Neill wrote.
