SHELBY COUNTY — The Alabama Department of Forensics identified human remains found in Shelby County on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020.
The remains of Steve Jerome Vick, of Columbiana, were found in the area of Twin Creek Drive.
“Investigators responded and examined what appeared to be an adult human skull at the location,” the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “An additional search of the surrounding area was conducted, however, no further remains were located.”
Vick was last seen by family members in early Nov. 2017 and was reported missing on Jan. 2, 2018.
