JEFFERSON COUNTY — Emergency crews were on the scene of a crash involving an 18-wheeler on Pinson Valley Parkway.
Jefferson County Deputies and Center Point Fire and Rescue crews responded the scene Wednesday night, at the intersection of Meadow Craft Road.
Center Point Fire District Chief Gene Coleman said two vehicles were involved and one person was transported to the trauma center with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
All directions of travel were impacted and the southbound lanes of Pinson Valley Parkway were closed. Lanes were reopened just before 8:30 p.m.
Coleman said crews were working to clean up a small diesel fuel spill.
