BLOUNTSVILLE — A single-vehice crash that happened at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, claimed the life of a Hayden man.
Cody Rhian Dorning, 42, was fatally injured when he lost control of the 2009 Nissan Altima he was operating. Fatigue is suspected to be a contributing factor to the crash.
Dorning, who investigators said was not wearing his seat belt. was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on Joy Road near Bowerman Road approximately three miles south of Blountsville.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
