CENTER POINT — Lisa Jacole Grayson,27, has been arrested on six counts of attempted murder, one count of arson in the first degree, and criminal mischief in the first degree.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at the Parkway Villa Apartments at the 100 block of 14th Ave. Northeast here Sunday morning, answering a call that said a woman was vandalizing a car in the apartment complex parking lot.
“Upon arrival deputies discovered that a male who had been at that location had gone to the hospital by personal vehicle to obtain treatment from non-life-threatening knife wounds,” a press release from the sheriff’s office stated. “There had also been a fire set in one of the apartments. According to witness accounts … Grayson had gotten into an argument with a male at that location, and she attacked him with a butcher knife.”
The report states that Grayson’s roommate went outside their apartment and questioned her about the incident.
“Grayson then turned on her roommate and attempted to stab her,” the report states. “Grayson then went to the parking lot and destroyed the male victim’s car with a cinder block. She then went back to her apartment, where her roommate and her roommate’s 3 children were. She poured lighter fluid and cooking oil throughout the apartment and set fire to it. All 4 occupants of the apartment were able to get out of the home. One of the occupants was treated for smoke inhalation.”
Grayson is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a total of $435,000.00 in bonds
