ARGO — Shop Bob’s Unclaimed Freight will open its new location in Argo on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021. The business recently moved from Springville.
Shop Bob’s is a family-owned and operated variety store that carries a unique collection of items that were lost in shipping. Those items include home goods, electronics, small kitchen appliances, collectibles, antiques, fragrances and jewelry. With the larger space, the owner said they will now be able to offer more, such as clothing, shoes, outdoor living items.
Bob Ping, his son, Christopher Spivey, and Bob’s son-in-law, Alan Callahan, opened the store two years ago after selling similar items online. They had to find a larger location after growing out of the Springville store.
Shop Bob’s will also now have shopping carts and special daily pricing with bin and clothing items selling from $1 – $7, depending on the day.
The store’s stock changes frequently and daily deals are offered. The store is bringing back the $5 bag deal, where you fill a bag with items from a certain group and only pay $5 for everything in it.
There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday at 8:45 a.m. The store is at 1947 Hwy 11, near Rosewood Office Furniture.
The store will be open Tuesday – Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
