BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) Detectives request assistance from the public in obtaining information on a homicide that occurred on Monday, June 6, 2022.
According to the BPD, Michael Arrington was shot and killed in the 1100 Block of 40th Street Ensley. Arrington was sitting in a vehicle along with a female passenger when an unknown suspect(s) shot into his white van, killing him and severely wounding his passenger. Authorities marked 21 shell casings in the area of the shooting.

Detectives believe both victims were targeted.
Currently, there is no one in custody.
