BIRMINGHAM — One suspect arrest, and another suspect is wanted in connection to multiple robbery investigations in Birmingham targeting the Hispanic Community. The investigation was launched in October 2022.
According to the Birmingham Police Department (BPD), Evontay Martiz Blevins, 19, of Birmingham, was arrested after Birmingham Police Detectives presented information on the case to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. After an assessment of the information, detectives obtained at least 32 warrants for Robbery 1st Degree (Firearm).
Blevins was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, where he will remain under a $2,081,300 Bond.
The Birmingham Police Department seeks assistance in locating an individual with at least 32 armed robbery warrants after being a part of multiple robberies targeting Hispanic victims in the Birmingham community.
BPD is searching for 20-year-old Jakobie Smith of Birmingham. He is 5’9″ and weighs about 180 pounds. He is believed to be armed and extremely dangerous.
