TRUSSVILLE — A workshop to provide information about compressed natural gas for vehicles is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 24 at the Trussville Civic Center.
The workshop will last from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The title of the workshop is “Natural Gas Vehicles for Fleets: Do they make financial sense for you?”
The workshop aims to provide information necessary to know about converting fleets of vehicles to CNG, where CNG stations are located in the area and how cost efficient using CNG can be.
Those interested must reserve a spot at the workshop by contacting Courtney Dollar at cdollar@trussville.com or 205-228-1048 no later than Friday, Sept. 19. Lunch will be provided.
The city of Trussville already uses CNG to operate about 40 city vehicles, from Chevrolet Tahoes for the Trussville Police Department to dump trucks for the Parks and Recreation Department. Those vehicles fuel up at the Chevron on Deerfoot Parkway, where the public can also use the CNG dispenser.
