TRUSSVILLE — Velma’s Trussville is set to open this week, Thursday, Nov. 16.
Door’s open at 3 p.m. and the bar will close at 2 a.m.
It has been a long time coming for the return of the local legendary bar that first opened in 1938. The original location closed in 2012. After all these years, Velma’s new owners, Royce and Tammy Butler, are ready to return in style.
Guest are welcome to join in on the grand opening by singing their favorite karaoke songs and partaking in happy hour from 3- 7 p.m. Karaoke host ‘Elvis’ Rob Langford will be in charge of the stage.
