TRUSSVILLE — The Cahaba River Fry-Down, which had been scheduled for Sunday afternoon, has been postponed due to weather concerns. Organizers are working to reschedule the event.
Beth Stewart of the Cahaba River Society cited concerns for the teams trying to cook for the competition and patrons who planned to attend.
“This has been such a good event and very well supported,” Stewart said. “We want to protect the brand. (City Clerk) Lynn Porter and everyone with the city of Trussville worked hard to help us find an alternate location, but in the end, we decided it was best to reschedule for the Trussville Springs location.”
The new date will be announced as soon as organizers have an OK from all interested parties.
