TRUSSVILLE — One person was transported via LifeSaver helicopter after a two-vehicle crash on the Interstate 59 southbound ramp at Deerfoot Parkway in Trussville on Friday night.
According to Trussville Police Department Capt. Jeff Bridges, one car came up the southbound entrance ramp the wrong way and struck another vehicle. The female driver of the vehicle going the correct way sustained minor injuries, Bridges said.
Bridges said the driver of the vehicle going the wrong way was transported via LifeSaver.
Another passenger in the vehicle driving the wrong way possibly left the vehicle on foot before police arrived, Bridges said.
No other information was immediately available.
The police department is investigating.
