When striving for healthy living, it is important to live a natural, God-designed life, or as close to it as you can possibly get.
You do not have to be perfect; however, your goal should be to live as healthy as you possibly can. You need that goal if you are going to lower your cholesterol naturally because it takes time. It won’t happen overnight. In this article, I want to share a few health habits that can keep you healthy and lower cholesterol safely.
The first thing I want to highlight is great nerve supply. We all need healthy nervous systems because it controls all function and healing in the body. When it comes to high cholesterol, you need great nerve supply to the liver and gall bladder. Health habit No. 1 for lowering your cholesterol? Get your spine checked. When your spine shifts, nerves can become pinched, and those nerves are unable to bring health and healing to the organs attached to them. This can happen without you experiencing any sign or symptom. Remember, when your spine is in line, you tend to be healthy.
Another great habit is consuming fish. The good thing about fish is that it is high in Omega 3 oils, which help in lowering cholesterol. The best way to cook your fish is to bake, broil or grill it. You should avoid eating it fried because it raises cholesterol. It is best to get farm or cold water fish due to mercury levels in other supplies
. Try to avoid shrimp, crabs, catfish, and shellfish such as lobster, because they tend to raise cholesterol levels.
If you are a bread eater, I would like to encourage you to choose breads made from whole grains. This is health habit No. 3. When eating bread, making the choice to eat whole grains, it is far healthier because it has more fiber than white food products. Fiber is your friend when it comes to lowering cholesterol. As a rule of thumb, be careful consuming white food products because of lower fiber content. They are refined and processed and are typically bleached and contain trans fats. Something to keep in mind with whole grains as well, don’t eat too much because they can lower your zinc levels.
Do you like oatmeal? If you have high cholesterol, think about eating oatmeal. This is health habit No. 4. The Food and Drug Administration has shared oatmeal’s benefits when it comes to heart disease, and another study noted that you can lower your cholesterol by 40 percent by consuming it because of its high fiber content. If oatmeal seems too bland or unappealing, try dressing it up with fruit, honey or almonds. Over the past decade, more and more people are taking note of the benefits of oatmeal.
I hope this helps you on your journey to living a healthy life. Remember, health is a process, and the biggest step is just getting started. Have a great day.
