From staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — Paine Primary School raised more than $24,000 as part of this year’s American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart campaign.
That total breaks a school record.
During the week of Valentine’s Day, students jumped rope to raise money for the campaign.
Supporting the event helps fight against the nation’s No. 1 and No. 4 killers – heart disease and stroke. Donations support research, education, advocating for better health, improving patient care and reaching populations at risk.
Paine Primary School in 2014 raised $11,276.68 for Jump Rope for Heart, finishing fourth out of 500 regional schools in the campaign.
