From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — Kindergarten students from Cahaba Elementary learned about generosity this season by spreading some holiday cheer to others in Trussville.
“We learned the importance of giving our time and talent to others,” said kindergarten teacher Angela Shorter.
“We learned many Christmas carols and took a walking field trip on a cold December morning down to the Trussville Senior Citizen Center to share a little bit of Christmas by singing our Christmas carols.
“Bob Flaherty, a local pastor and parent of one of our kindergarten students, came along to play the guitar as we sang.
“A parent decorated Christmas trees for us to donate to the center.”
Below is a video excerpt of the students singing “Silent Night” at the center.
