TUSCALOOSA –The Jump Rope Team from Leeds Elementary School has been in the spotlight before. They’ve even appeared in a Super Bowl commercial shown locally for Jack’s Restaurant.
The high energy group has entertained crowds at Birmingham-Southern and UAB. This was not even their first visit to the University of Alabama.
But Saturday’s nationally televised game between the Crimson Tide and No. 12 Oklahoma in the SEC vs. Big 12 Showdown before a packed Coleman Coliseum may have been their biggest moment. They didn’t disappoint.
Alabama defeated Oklahoma 80-73 and the SEC took six wins to four over the Big 12.
