ANNISTON — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating a single-vehicle crash that left a driver dead in Calhoun County today.
Jimmy Frank Nelson, 64,of Wellington died after his vehicle crashed three miles west of Anniston at around 6:10 p.m. According to ALEA, Nelson was driving north on Bynum Leatherwood Road when his 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe left the roadway and struck a ditch.
Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene. ALEA confirmed that he was not wearing a seat belt.
No further details are available as Alabama state troopers continue to investigate.
