ETOWAH COUNTY — During a hearing on Paul Edward Acton Bowen’s bail, an Etowah County deputy district attorney said that he could face additional charges for alleged sex abuse in Orange Beach, Colorado and Florida, according to AL.com.
Bowen is already facing multiple charges related to child sex abuse in Jefferson and Etowah counties. Last week he was arrested in Etowah County, occurring one week after he had been arrested in Pelham by Hoover Police.
Charges that Bowen faces include sodomy, enticing a child for immoral purposes and sex abuse. There are five alleged victims, with one being a Hoover teenager under 16 and over 12.
Yesterday during the bail hearing, Deputy District Attorney Carol Griffith said that Acton was being investigated by the FBI in Orange Beach, Colorado and Florida. The purpose of the hearing was to determine whether or not to reduce or change Bowen’s $500,000 bail.
