A C-130 Hercules military transport plane crashed today, May 2, near a Georgia airport, sending plumes of black smoke into the air according to Fox News.
The Federal Aviation Administration reported that the military transport plane said the was headed to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona.
The plane went down between Highway 21 and Crossgate Road, near Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.
The photos showed the plane engulfed by flames and thick black smoke.
It is still unclear what caused the crash. This story is still developing.
