BIRMINGHAM. — The Greater Birmingham Humane Society was able to find new families for five puppies rescued from a Trussville dog mill in July, according to ABC 33/40 News.

The dogs, four miniature schnauzers and a shih tzu, were adopted almost as soon as the shelter opened for business.
Mickey Rockett, of Hoover, was second in line and adopted a female schnauzer. “I think I’m the luckiest guy in the world, and I know she’s going to be the luckiest dog in the world.”
Over the next several months more puppies rescued from the mill will be up for adoption.
An investigation by the Trussville Police,into the puppy mill , is ongoing.
