From the Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE – The start of Fall can be a tricky time for the residents of central Alabama. On the one hand football is back and so are all things pumpkin spice. On the other hand, the leaves are probably still be green and there is a good chance that temperatures will be hovering somewhere around 90.
Dairy Queen may have come up with the perfect solution to this conundrum by finding a way of mixing two treats in a way that perfectly reflects an area with a foot firmly planted in both seasons; they call it the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard and it is back even before the official start of Autumn is.
The Pumpkin Pie Blizzard blends Dairy Queen’s classic soft ice cream with pieces of real pumpkin pie. To top it all off the confection is topped off with nutmeg and whipped toppings. The treat comes in four different sized but, much like the season that inspired it, is here for a limited time only.
The Trussville Dairy Queen, located at 5969 Chalkville Road, has reported that their store will have Pumpkin Pie Blizzards available for purchase starting on Thursday.
