MATTHEWS, NC – A North Carolina High School, Butler High School, went on lockdown Monday morning, October 29, after a school shooting occurred on the campus. The Town of Matthews is a suburb of Charolotte.
According to the Matthews Police Department’s Facebook post, one student was shot and transported to the hospital with unknown injuries at this time. Police also said that this is an isolated incident and that there is a student that was taken into custody. The school has been secured and the rest of the students will be released to their parents care soon.
