The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Tuesday that due to a multi-state E. coli outbreak, the public should not eat romaine lettuce, according to Fox News.
Fox News further reported that 32 people have become sick and 13 have been hospitalized because of the outbreak.
“People should not eat romaine lettuce until more is known about the source of the contaminated lettuce and the status of the outbreak,” the FDA said.
Fox is also reporting that, so far, 11 states have reported cases from the outbreak, the latest onset of which was on Oct. 31.
