The 2013-2014 school year begins Monday.
In Trussville, days at Paine Primary and Paine Intermediate schools will last from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. the rest of the week. At Hewitt-Trussville Middle School, school will last from 7:55 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays and 7:55 a.m. to 3 p.m. the rest of the week. At Hewitt-Trussville High School, students will attend from 9:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on Thursdays, and 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. the rest of the week.
Jefferson County schools will also open Monday, including Chalkville Elementary, Clay Elementary, Clay-Chalkville Middle, Clay-Chalkville High, Pinson Elementary, Kermit Johnson Elementary, Rudd Middle and Pinson Valley High schools.
Clay Elementary’s Meet The Teacher will be today from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for students in the kindergarten through second grade, and Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for students in the third through fifth grades.
Clay-Chalkville High School’s open house will be Aug. 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
