Have trouble updating your Facebook status this morning? The Wall Street Journal reports that it isn’t just you, the outage was widespread.
According to the report, service appears to have been restored in many areas. It isn’t known how widespread the problem was or how long it had been going on.
The Tribune was able to post at 6:38 a.m., but lost service shortly thereafter. Status updates resumed about 25 minutes ago.
“Facebook’s website served up the error. When using the iPhone app, a status message appeared to go through — no error message — but ultimately it never published. By 10:30 a.m. ET, it appeared access was being restored — hence the “test” status updated you’re probably seeing in your newsfeed,” The Wall Street Journal wrote.
