TRUSSVILLE — The Hewitt-Trussville wrestling team concluded a successful Hewitt Pools tournament with a fourth place overall finish in an event that included 11 teams throughout the South.
Teamwise, the Huskies finished the day just behind Tuscaloosa County. The Wildcats scored 211 points to the Huskies’ 207.5. Oak Mountain and champion Bradley Central rounded out the top two.

Individually, Hewitt-Trussville was led by Lucas Reaves’ 42.5 points after his second place finish in the 132-pound class; Hunter Jones added 35 points after placing third; Luke Golden recorded 31.5 points after finishing fifth in the 195-pound weight class; Logan Reaves placed fifth and recorded 31.5 points in the 138-pound weight class; Andrew Shelton finished in third and scored 17 points in the 152-pound weight class; Dalton Zimmerman recorded 15 points after his third place finish in the 133-pound weight class; Jake Allen totaled 11 points with a fourth place finish; Derrick Davis finished in second place in the 145-pound division; Maddox Golden finished in second place in the 170-pound division.
