BIRMINGHAM — Birmingham Police are investigating after a 34-year-old man was shot to death in the city on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, at approximately 11:40 a.m., according to Sgt. Johnny Williams.
“Officers from the West Precinct responded to a call of a person shot at 2nd Court West and 12th Street,” Williams said. “Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim was transported to Princeton Hospital by private vehicle for treatment. Investigators later received information that the victim had succumbed to the injury and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.”
The victim was later identified as Clasco Cartez Johnson, 34, of Birmingham. No suspects are in custody at this time. Williams said investigators are continuing to gather information.
