BIRMINGHAM — Minor damage and flood reports came in from east Jefferson County on Saturday, Jan. 11, as storms rolled through.
In west Alabama, damages were devastating. Three people were confirmed dead after a possible tornado in Pickens County, according to the National Weather Service.
Around 202,000 people lost power statewide. Hundreds of power lines trees were downed.
Center Point Fire and Rescue received a report of a tree falling on a car and downed power lines.
Highway 75 southbound was impacted by downed power lines at Marsh Mountain Road in the Palmerdale area.
Flooding on the roadways of Clay, Pinson, Center Point and Trussville proved to be a hazard after the storm.
