LEEDS — The Leeds High School Oak & Ivy Theatre is presenting a winter feature: The Great Gatsby.
F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby was adapted for the stage by Simon Levy. The show is produced by Creative Director and Theatre Educator, Tina Miller, with Student Director Olivia Soileau and Student Stage Manager Elle Wisdom.
The production includes choreographed dances performed by students from all four Leeds City Schools, grades 1-12, with live music performed by students from LHS and LMS.
Performances will take place on Feb. 7, 8 and 10, at 7 p.m. The Oak & Ivy Theatre is at 1500 Greenwave Drive, in Leeds. Tickets are $7 cash, at the door only.

Synopsis of the play:
Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, passionately pursues the elusive Daisy Buchanan. Nick Carraway, a young newcomer, is drawn into their world of obsession, greed, and danger. The breathtaking glamour and decadent excess of the Jazz Age come to the stage in the only official stage adaptation approved by the Fitzgerald Estate.
