CENTER POINT – A 19-year-old Center Point man has been arrested and charged with Attempted Murder for his role in the shooting of man in the Robinwood community on Feb. 16.
On Feb. 16, deputies responded to a report of a shooting at 6th Avenue and 4th Street in the Robinwood community.
They arrived to find an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Initial information was that the victim had been street talking with three men that he knows.

One of the men pulled a gun and shot the victim.
The investigation revealed that the victim had been in an arguement at his house with 19-year-old Cedric King, Jr. earlier in the evening over the victim offering marijuana to a female friend.
King left the residence and the victim went outside and began walking down the street. King drove up to the victim, got out of his car and fired several shots striking the victim. Once the victim fell, king got back into his car and drove off.
Cedric King was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail Tuesday evening to await formal charges. Yesterday afternoon detectives obtained an arrest warrant formally charging him with Attempted Murder. He was held on $15,000.
