TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Council last week approved of amending the Downtown Redevelopment Authority’s incorporation, increasing its number of members from seven to nine.
Keith Crumpton has been added to the authority. There is one vacant spot remaining.
“I think Keith will be a great addition,” said Trussville City Council President Buddy Choat.
The other seven members include Jef Freeman, Mike Gunter, Joe Howle, Diane Poole, Eddie Seal, David Morgan and Scott Walls.
The Downtown Redevelopment Authority is tasked with recruiting and promoting businesses for the downtown Trussville area. Freeman said he thinks people are “excited” about what’s going on in Trussville.
The authority next meets Thursday, July 10 at 7 p.m. at Bryant Bank on Main Street. The authority normally meets the first Thursday of each month.
