ST. CLAIR COUNTY –The victim in a two-vehicle crash that shut down portions of Interstate 20 for hours in St. Clair on Tuesday has been identified.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said that Allen Robert Talley III, 49, was killed when the 2015 Peterbilt in which was a passenger left the roadway and struck a 2013 Freightliner parked on the shoulder.
Talley, of South Carolina, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Peterbilt, Theresa Diahann Talley, 48, was injured and transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
The crash occurred on Monday at 6:18 a.m. on Interstate 20 (westbound) in Riverside. The driver in the parked Freightliner was not injured.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
