BIRMINGHAM – The victim in Tuesday’s homicide at Earline Circle has been identified.
Calvin Foster, 21 of Birmingham, died after suffering from a gunshot wound. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Foster lying on his stomach, bleeding form the back of his head.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue pronounced Foster dead on the scene.
According to Lt. Sean Edwards with the Birmingham Police Department, it is unclear at this time what led up to the shooting, but initial evidence indicates illegal drug activity.
Several witnesses were transported to the station for questioning, but no one is in custody at this time, according to Edwards.
