HOOVER — A man who has been indicted on multiple alleged charges of child sex abuse of a family member residing in Hoover has been extradited from Connecticut to Alabama this past weekend, according to Carol Robinson.
William Henry Douglas, 65, was indicted by a grand jury on two counts of first-degree sodomy, two counts of second-degree sodomy, one count of first-degree sex abuse and one count of second-degree sex abuse.
He is now being held in the Jefferson County Jail with bonds totaling $135,000.
The charges stem from an investigation conducted by Hoover police in August after the girl’s parents found evidence of the abuse.
Douglas’s first court hearing will be in February.
