SPRINGVILLE — An investigation is underway after an inmate attacked and injured a St. Clair Correctional Facility officer Wednesday.
According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, 27-year-old Daryl Rowell, a convicted killer, attacked an officer with a makeshift weapon while being escorted to a housing area inside the prison around 1 p.m. Wednesday.
While the officer was cut by the weapon, his injuries were not life-threatening, and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Rowell, who is sentenced to life without parole, will be charged with assault according to ADOC.

Going ahead and escort him to the “Big Yellow Momma”. Okay lethal injection him. Why wait he is already on death roll and apparently he has no remorse and he is still trying to hurt or kill folks.
