From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
SPRINGVILLE — Because of the potentially severe weather to take place, the Springville City Council has canceled its regular meeting tonight.
Central Alabama, including Jefferson and St. Clair counties, are currently under a “particularly dangerous situation” tornado watch, prompting the city to cancel the meeting, originally scheduled for 6 p.m.
The watch will remain in effect until 11 p.m. tonight. The storms may bring hail and even a tornado, though it is not known where exactly they may hit. Hail has already been reported in parts of Alabama.
Springville’s government will release details on the rescheduled meeting.
