TRUSSVILLE –The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a tornado watch for north Alabama.
“A PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) TORNADO WATCH has been issued until 11 p.m. for the counties in red. PLEASE have a plan to shelter when warnings are issued! We are watching counties farther south for a threat later on,” according to the statement from NWS.
“Storms will develop in random places this evening… no way of knowing arrival time for any given point,” James Spann said via social media. “Understand there is a window from now until midnight when storms storms are possible with large hail, damaging wind, and a few tornadoes.”
