SANTA FE, TEXAS — An active shooter situation took place at a high school in Texas has left several dead and others injured, according to ABC News.
An unknown number of people are injured and several have been killed at Santa Fe High School, located near Galveston, Texas. According to the report, the situation has been contained but officers are working to secure the building.
The New York Times reported that a suspect has been taken into custody. CBS reports that police conducting a press conference at the school said that explosive devices were found on campus.
Up to 10 people are said to be killed in the shooting. An officer was wounded during the incident.
The shooter was identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis, 17. A second suspect was detained.
