BIRMINGHAM — Birmingham police have released the name of a man arrested in connection to double shooting that took place on Friday morning in north Birmingham. He was taken into custody shortly after police responded to the scene.
Timothy White, 46, was identified as the suspect. At approximately 7:15 a.m. on Friday morning, police responded to a report of a shooting on 3100 block of 43rd Avenue North. Two males were found suffering from gunshot wounds and were taken to UAB Hospital where they underwent surgery.
“Officers on the scene relayed suspect vehicle information to additional responding units who quickly located the suspect nearby,” said Sgt. Johnny Williams in a statement. “Officers managed to take the suspect into custody without incident. The victims remain in the hospital for treatment of their life threatening injuries.”
Two attempted murder warrants with $25,000 bonds each were obtained against White. He is being held at the Jefferson County Jail.
