HOOVER — An investigation is underway after an officer-involved shooting early Saturday morning in Hoover.
Shortly after 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, the Hoover 911 Center received a call reporting a hostile male armed with a gun inside an apartment at Wood Gardens.
Officers responded and during the incident, one subject was shot in his hand. He was transported to UAB Hospital where he is being treated for a non-life threatening injury.
Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr has requested that the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency handle the investigation into the incident. Hoover Police are also conducting an internal investigation.
