AUBURN – A successful season for Hewitt-Trussville girls’ lacrosse came to an end Tuesday, May 7, in Auburn.
The Huskies took on Auburn in the second round of the playoffs. It was a close, hard-fought game but in the end, the Huskies came up just a little short with Auburn emerging the victor with a score of 13-9.
Auburn took a total of 28 shots, but goalie Liberty Andrzejewski only allowed 13 goals.
“She really had her best game all year,” said head coach Tom McCormick.
The Huskies finish the season 7-7 and are looking forward to building on their momentum in 2020. McCormick said that he expects 18 of the 20 players to return next year.
