From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department is investigating after a burglary at Best Buy in The Pinnacle. It happened in the early morning hours on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019.
In just a matter of minutes, three masked thieves broke through three sets of doors and locks and grabbed over $32,000 worth of drones, cell phones and Beats headphones.
Police said alarms sounded but the thieves were in and out in just four minutes. By the time officers arrived on the scene, the crooks were gone, but they left a mess. Several items were broken and some merchandise was still on the sidewalk outside of the store.
The thieves were caught on camera inside the store and they were caught on camera leaving the scene in a black Lincoln Crossover.
Upon further investigation, detectives found out the Trussville Best Buy is the 11th location to be hit in the eastern United States. Other similar burglaries have been reported in Georgia, North Carolina and Indiana.
Police Chief Eric Rush believes the crooks that came to Trussville could be connected to a larger criminal ring.
