FAIRFIELD — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened on Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, in Fairfield.
The Midfield Police Department notified the sheriff’s office at 4:11 a.m. that someone was shot outside the Waffle House at 636 Bessemer Super Highway.
According to a press release, deputies met Midfield police detectives where they found the 22-year-old victim. The victim told deputies he was shot outside of the restaurant as he was leaving. The victim was able to leave the scene and seek medical help. He was treated for an injury that was not life-threatening.
