LEEDS — The city of Leeds has put a curfew into place after learning of possible protesting in the city.
The curfew begins at 6 p.m. and goes until 6 a.m. The mayor signed an executive order Monday afternoon. In another executive order, the mayor closed several city streets until further notice:
Park Dr. Parkway Dr. from 6th St. to 10th St., SI, 9th St. from Railroad Ave. to 2nd Ave, 1st Ave. from 9th St. to 10th St., Maxey Dr., 8th St. from Railroad Ave. to 1st Ave., Grand River Blvd., Grand River Blvd. W., Bass Pro Blvd., Bass Pro Parkway, Coosa St., Bucee’s Blvd., Whitfield Ave., and Weaver Ave.
The Walmart in Leeds closed at 5 p.m. Monday after hearing of the possible protesting.
