TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City School system is allowing parents to change the option for their students up until Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020.
The school system is offering three options for school starting in the fall. There is a traditional school, Husky Online Academy and Husky Online Academy Plus. 78.5% of registered students have chosen traditional school, but Superintendent Dr. Pattie Neill said some rules for traditional school could change depending on what state officials recommend for August.
“If she [Gov. Kay Ivey] extends the order for face masks to be worn during August, the face mask will be required during school,” said Neill. “But I want you to know that we are walking together on shifting sand and as the rules change, you will have a chance to change your option.”

Neill said the school system wants to be flexible and informative for parents during this challenging time.
