TARRANT, Ala. (AP) — Three men are being treated Thursday after a flash fire at an industrial plant in Alabama.
The accident happened shortly after 8 a.m. at ABC Coke in Tarrant. Fire Chief Jason Rickels said they received the call at 8:08 a.m. and were on the scene at 8:12 a.m., al.com reported.
A flash fire is a sudden, intense fire caused by ignition of a mixture of air and a dispersed flammable substance such as a solid, flammable or combustible liquid, or a flammable gas.
Three workers were found with burn injuries to their chest, head and neck areas. They were taken to UAB Hospital, but Rickels said none of the injuries are life-threatening.
